My background in nutrition…
I received my bachelor's of science in nutrition and dietetics from Arizona State University (GO DEVILS!)🌞🔱. But let me tell you, the adventure didn't stop there.
After graduation, I packed my bags and headed all the way from the sunny desert to the lush landscapes of Virginia for a 9-month supervised internship. Crazy, right? But that's just how dedicated I am to spreading the joy of healthy living through nutrition.
During my time in Martinsburg, WV, at the Veteran's Affair Medical Center, I had the incredible opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients. From helping folks manage their weight to getting those pesky lab values back in the healthy zone, tackling diabetes management, or simply teaching some awesome cooking skills, every day was a new adventure.
I'm a firm believer that the food choices we make today can shape our future. But you know what? Finding the right balance isn't about giving up the foods you love. Nope, it's about savoring every bite through mindful eating and finding the foods that truly nourish your body and soul.
