FAQ’s
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently in network with Aetna, Cigna, Golden Rule, Optum, Oxford, United Healthcare, United Medical Resources. If you are not in network with these providers, you can pay by credit card or with HSA/FSA card. I can also provide you with a superbill (medical service receipt) as an out-of-network provider. Your insurance provider will then reimburse you directly. However, I cannot guarantee that all of your costs will be reimbursed. It is your responsibility to check your coverage before booking.
Where do you see clients?
All client sessions are conducted virtually through a HIPAA compliant portal. If you are unable to do video call, I am able to conduct a session over the phone as well. My current license allows me to take clients seeking medical nutrition therapy in the states of AZ, CA, CO, MI, NJ, VA only (this is important if using insurance or a superbill). Otherwise, if you are located in another state, I can only provide generalized nutrition recommendations.
How much are sessions?
See below for services and pricing. This pricing list is based on out of pocket costs only, and does not reflect any payments when using insurance.
Please note, that in order to implement behavior change, it’s recommended to purchase at least 3 months, as it’s difficult to make any lasting changes in just 1 session. I am here to guide you and be your accountability partner.
How many sessions do I get in each package?
All packages include one 60-minute initial consultation and up to 2 follow-up sessions per month (bi-weekly). Depending on the client’s needs, we may only need to meet once per month. Follow-up sessions are 30-45 minutes long.
If using insurance, we will work with your insurance provider to see how many sessions your plan covers.
Do you provide meal plans?
See meal plan pricing and services below. Meal plans can be purchased as a stand-alone service. Or see above nutrition coaching packages where meal plans are included in the service. If using insurance for nutrition coaching services, meal plans will need to be purchased out of pocket.
